Research & Scholarship
LTRC has supported the research and scholarship project on language education from its early days. The Language Teaching Research Center develops and implements various research tasks and educational methods to improve language education and provide improved teaching methods to Korean, English, and other language education teachers at various educational institutions in Korea.
The center fosters efficient language educators by developing educational programs, providing scholarships, and offering teachers domestic and overseas training opportunities.
The Language Teaching Research Center conducts academic research related to language education in consultation with various Korean and foreign universities and develops efficient language research and teaching methods by surveying and analyzing the present state of language education.
Publications
Edit or issue academic, cultural publications related to Korean, English, or other language or language education.
Publish language textbooks and works for Korean school system
Education Projects
(1) Language Schools
LTRC establishes and operates language education centers to learn English effectively in Korea. LTRC provides English classes ranging from basic to advanced to help English learners master English quickly. In addition, students can choose from various language courses such as Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
(2) Pier Academy
Pier Academy helps its students enter or transfer to universities in the United States or abroad through systematic language education, Korean university courses, and legitimate bachelor's studies. High school graduates and college students can also take part. In addition, Pier Academy provides well-organized programs to students who do not have enough English education because of activities like art or physical education to foster individuals contributing to society. Pier Academy program focuses on equipping its students with the level of English essential to the successful completion of universities abroad.
(3) Celebration of Diverse Culture through Languages
The cultural project of the Language Teaching Research Center strives to inform the world's citizens of a new world of learning through various language education. Learning a new language is not only about gaining the ability to speak a different tongue but also about having the key to entering the language-speaking country and culture, so LTRC carries out programs in which students experience diverse international cultures along with language education throughout the year.
Volunteer Opportunities
The Language Training Research Center plans and takes part in various volunteer activities. The LTRC organizes Multiple events and volunteer opportunities under the themes of celebrating diversity, 'Korean language education,' and 'Korean culture promotion' for residents in Korea from various cultures and countries.
